『すぺしゃる』 姉の「世界を見て来い」の一言がきっかけで旅にでた、自称天才美少女魔道士 リナ＝インバース 。 魔道技術や観光にも興味を示すものの、行き先の決め手となるのはやはりおいしい食べ物のあるところ。 旅の途中、白蛇（サーペント）の ナーガ と名乗る、自称リナのライバルである非常識な女魔道士と知り合い、以後金魚のフンのように事あるごとにナーガにつきまとわれる。 リナは世界各地で仕事の依頼を受けつつ、ナーガを始めとした様々なキャラクターと珍騒動を繰り広げる。 『すまっしゅ。 』 あいかわらず世界を旅して我が道を行くリナ。 各地を転々として仕事の依頼を受けるのだが、依頼の内容も関わってくる人物はどれも一筋縄ではいかないものばかり。 Lina Inverse is the primary protagonist and the only character appearing in the whole Slayers-franchise.
