John Wesley Welch was a native Texan born in Muenster, Texas February 8th, 1949. John was raised in Gainesville, and Whitesboro Texas. While growing up he and his family attended First Baptist Church Whitesboro where he accepted Christ at 13 years old. He graduated Whitesboro High School and attended Junior college before serving in the U.S John Wesley's Methodist society was one of the most impactful and long lasting outcomes of the Great Awakening. Wesley's religious journey from 1729 to the 1780s coincides with all of the major events of the Great Awakening and you could say that his life span equaled that of the Great Awakening. To remind you, the Great Awakening was an John Wesley Hardin (May 26, 1853 - August 19, 1895) was an American Old West outlaw, gunfighter, and controversial folk icon.Hardin often got into trouble with the law from an early age. He killed his first man at the age of 15, claiming he did so in self-defense..
